Senior Session Questions | Class of 2025 | Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Senior sessions are just around the corner for the class of 2025 and it is a great time to think about all the details. Maybe there is a certain feeling you want to have in your images or it could be that you love summer flowers. Senior sessions in fall is often the favored time of year for photographs. It is never too early to start thinking about a senior session in my opinion. Hopefully the questions below will help you decide the best time of year for you and your pictures.

Senior session start time:

What time of day do you feel the most energized?

The start time of your photo session will change throughout the year based on the light. I prefer the beautiful soft light from the sunset or sunrise in all my photographs. The start time will take into consideration the number of locations you choose, outfit changes and best natural light.

A fall session will often start in the late afternoon and a summer session will start after dinner time. If you are a night owl go for the summer sunset session. If you are a morning person the sunrise session is best and can provide different backdrops. I find a sunrise session to be cooler in temperature and humidity but you just might need to take a nap after we wrap up.

Senior Session Clothing Selection:

What clothing makes you feel your best? Are you a sweater person or summer dress girl?

Clothing choices can greatly impact the vibe of your images. Plus your clothing selection should make you feel confident and comfortable. The season you decide to have your senior pictures take will greatly impact your clothing options. Take a minute and think about what style of clothing you love wearing.

Senior Session Hair and Make-up:

Do you want to have your hair and make up professional done?

Guys you are in luck and can skip over this question. Now girls if you are thinking about having someone pamper you for the day I would recommend scheduling your senior photos now. This will give you plenty of time to coordinate everyone and everything.

What is your availability for a Senior Session?

Do you always have a summer job? Does your family always take a vacation in the summer? Look at your calendar and see what season gives you the most availability. I can tell you that Fall is hands down the busiest season for most photographers. If you know that you want a fall senior session contact me early and lock in your date.
